Burleigh can make a morning feel complete before most of the Coast has decided what day it is.

Get there with the first swimmers

Begin on the beach while the headland still holds a long shadow. Watch the water before choosing between a swim, a surf or a walk with dry feet.

Coastal conditions can change quickly. Check current surf, weather and park information before setting out, and treat the view as the plan when the water is not.

Keep the rest of the morning loose

Take the headland path at an easy pace, then return through town for coffee and breakfast. Two good stops are enough; the point is to leave space for the morning to change.

If the beach is filling, continue south towards Tallebudgera Creek or step back into the neighbourhood streets before the day gets loud.
